Day 6: Agay to Nice

Breakfast view. Amazing pain au chocolat
and fresh juice

Agay beach

We stopped to take in the scenery on our drive to Nice

This was an emotional day for Paul, as we had to return Giulietta after a good run of about 850km driven in 5 days. We woke up early to have breakfast overlooking the Agay beach, and then got on the road, stopping for a few photo ops.

View from our hotel balcony on Blvd Cimiez, Nice
Nice is stunning! We found our hotel on the posh boulevard of Cimiez, unloaded the car, checked in, and went to the train station to drop off the car. Nice is a beautiful city to discover on foot, so  we set off exploring to discover its architectural and natural gems.

The Opera House
No wonder so many artists in the late 19th and 20th century moved to reside in Nice. The sky and the sea hues are absolutely indescribable. Strolling along the Promenade des Anglais, enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning sun, going for a dip in the chilli Mediterranean, and laying out on the pebbly beach  - that is the way to live!

I tried the farci (eggplants and other vegetables stuffed
with ground meat) and Paul tried the Nicoise salad.
How very traditional of us.
We opted for something light for our main
course. Baked rabbit.
