Day 4 Perched villages of Luberon, Provence

Gordes - for all the fans of "A Good Year"

Gordes - a gorgeous perched village of Luberon
What a gorgeous day of driving and hiking up to these picturesque villages of Luberon! I highly recommend making this trip if you are in the south of France. What a treat!! There is really not too much to write about these. You should experience this serenity and mountain air for yourself.
After spending most of the day in the Luberon region. We drove to Aix. I believe it was a mistake on our parts to experience Aix on this really calming and visually marvellous day. Aix is a busy city with many fashionistas looking to shop at local boutiques. It is a nice and clean city with a multitude of small piazzas with fountains. It was certainly enjoyable to meander the streets of this city, but our minds were still up north in Luberon. After a quick dinner we headed back to the romantic Avignon to plan our route down to the Cote d'Azur through the Gorges du Verdon.

Coin Perdu - the wine featured in the movie "A Good Year".
I really liked the film, so had to get a bottle of Syrah in Gordes!
